Shaykh Abdullah Nasir Rehmani
Name and Lineage:
Abu Salman Abdullah Nasir Rehmani bin Abdur-Rashid Rehmani bin Raheem Buksh bin Qaim-ud-din bin Muhammad Boota. Rehmani is so called because he is a pass out from Jamia Dar-ul-Hadith Rehmania. All pass outs of this Madrasah are called Rehmani e.g. Qari Abdul Khaliq Rehmani.
Birth and Early Youth:
He was born on 28th December, 1958. His days of childhood were mostly spent in Karachi, whereas some of his time was also spent at his hometown of district Gujranwala. He studied four classes there and then completed primary education at Karachi. He was not able to gain further secular education because his father wanted to give him religious education and environment from the childhood. Simply put, he was entrusted for religious duties from childhood.
Higher Education:
After primary education, he received degree in Dars-e-Nizami from Jamia Dar-ul-Hadith Rehmania and provided his services as a teacher for two years in the same institution. Along with that, he also passed Intermediate examination. Thereafter, he earned a degree in Hadith and Uloom-ul-Hadith from Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh.
Educational and Religious Positions:
He is currently the head of numerous institutions:
• Emir of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Sindh
• Founder and President of Almahad-us-Salafi Littaleem Wattarbiyah
• President of Al-Madinah Islamic Research Center
• President of Burooj Institute
• Founder and President of Al Hijra Open University
Foundation of Almahad-us-Salafi Littaleem Wattarbiyah:
Almahad-us-Salafi Littaleem Wattarbiyah is the central institution of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Sindh, which was founded by him in 1999 after taking advice from authorities of Jamiat Ahle Hadith. It is one of the prominent Salafi institution of Pakistan with a strong system of education and discipline. He is the founder, president and Shaykh-ul-Hadith of this institution. Verily, Almahad-us-Salafi Littaleem Wattarbiyah is his remarkable accomplishment.
Teaching Career:
After completing higher education in Saudi Arabia, he started teaching at Abu Bakr Islamic University on the persuasion of Shaykh Muhammad Zafarullah – rahimahullaah. But, after being appointed Nazim-e-Aala of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, due to religious and organizational duties, he had to give up teaching there. After the foundation of Almahad-us-Salafi Littaleem Wattarbiyah in 1999, he is serving there as Shaykh-ul-Hadith till date.
