The primary goal of this course is to enable students to recite the Quran with proper Tajweed (rules of Quranic pronunciation). Throughout the course, students will delve into the introduction and brief history of Tajweed, understand its significance in the Quranic recitation, explore the principles of Tajweed, recognize different types of recitation mistakes, learn about various levels of recitation, understand the points of articulation, and explore the intricate characteristics of letters. Additionally, the course will cover topics such as velarization and attenuation, rules of Meem Sakinah and Mushaddad, rules of Noon Sakinah and Tanween, rules of Laam Sakinah, rules of Hamzah, and the Lengthening (Medd) rules in detail. Moreover, this course emphasizes the development of students’ recitation skills by practicing and applying all the learned Tajweed rules in their recitation.
